What is a Split Jamb System?

Our FED (Fit Easy Door) system features a door jamb that splits neatly into two halves, allowing for a quick wraparound installation over any finished wall. This innovation ensures a snug, consistent fit — especially ideal for projects with tight timelines and multiple installs.

Key Benefits:

Fast to install:  A split jamb takes less than 15 minutes to install, compared to an hour to hang a flat jamb door.

• No wastage:  The stop and architrave are pre-fitted to the jamb in our factory, so no cutting or measuring is required on site.

• Less chance of damage: The split jamb door is hung after the gib stoppers, making it less prone to damage.

• Reduces labour costs:  Due to the quick installation of the door, labour costs can be significantly reduced.

• Adjustable jamb:  Our standard split jamb can accommodate wall thicknesses from  110 to 119mm, and can be customised for
over- and undersized jambs to suit special wall thicknesses.

• Customisation:  The split jamb can be fitted with a wide selection of architraves to match your design style.
