| The
Advantages of the "SPLIT JAMB SYSTEM" compared to
standard systems |
| |
- Speed of installation (Speed = Time = Money saved)
- This is the last item to be installed, meaning less prone
to damage. All other sub-trades have been through i.e. Plumbers
with their gas bottles, Electricians with coils of wire.
- Gib can be fixed horizontally
- Gib can be plastered and sealed before hand.
- These are all a saving to the client.
- Comes as a completed system
excluding painting
- Because the system is split it picks up the variations
in wall thickness’, which no other system does. It can do from 89-120mm
especially in older homes, which have Rimu studs.
- Architrave’s are glued and nailed on to the split jamb, giving
you a better fixing, all done in the factory.
- Fixing of door system is down
the architrave.
10. Also used for steel stud and will
also pick up the variation where
head overlaps the two main
studs.
- Also used for steel stud and will

- Any type of architrave can be used giving the client a choice.
I.e. if you were putting a 4 panel door which is the old colonial
look, you would go for a colonial architrave. Our standard architrave
is 40x10 single bevelled.
- Because the system comes as a completed unit it means the
client is paying for no additional or hidden costs.
- This system comes in lengths of 4.2m. (for door pre hangers)
Reason for this is on a house-lot you cut your 2040 lengths then
get your heads out of another 4.2m piece, saving wastage on product.
5.1 lengths leave 0.9 over every time, which is a cost and wastes
money.
